What can an advocate do to help me and my child?

A special education advocate provides a parent the support and knowledge of the civil rights to protect their child.  This includes the special education advocate ensuring that the child receives a free and appropriate education along with representing the student’s best interests and services under the IDEA law.

Special Education Advocacy

Parent support is essential during their child’s educational journey through the special education system.

Special Ed Advocacy provides a comprehensive and supportive approach to supporting families during their most difficult times navigating through new diagnoses/classifications, behaviors, and lack of support by the current school placement.

Functional Behavior Assessments

As a clinical practitioner and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Functional Behavior Assessments may be necessary to identify and/or hypothesize why behaviors may occur.

An FBA is an essential 60 day evaluation that supports the parent, school district, and collaborative team on recommendations by a behavior specialist/expert.

Further consultations and/or training can be supported.
